On July 18 of 1916, New Home General Baptist Church was organized under the name Kinzer. Though the church did not have its location yet, it would within the next few years. As soon as the location was purchased, a building was erected and the name changed to the one you are now familiar with, New Home General Baptist Church.
With many improvements, and the addition of many members, the church flourished for years. After 33 pastors and many major improvements to the building, we finally arrived, or will arrive, at the present day 100 years later on July 18 of 2016.
For a full history of the church, please visit the History Page on our "About" section.
The Anniversary may be on the 18th, but the Centennial Celebration will be on the 10th. We have a big day planned fully of worship, singing, messages, fun, fellowship, and maybe even a few surprises. You don't have to be a member of the church to come celebrate with us. Come prepared to praise God for all the years he has blessed this amazing church with!
We are proud to announce our special guest speaker, Dr. Dick Murray!
